Our kiwis sdr's

Julussdalen Kiwi sdr's:

Due to "irregular" (e.g.lightning) weather conditions our kiwisdr may go off from time to time. Internet network and electricity supply may be affected.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just now (27th Dec. 2025) we are without electricity power/supply so therefore the Kiwis are off.

28th Dec. 2025 Still without electricity. Don't know when it will be fixed. Heavy wind storm has gone over the region. Thousands without electricity. We do not know either if there are a problem as a consequence at the site too. At the moment we are not able to go to the place.

7th Jan. 2026  Yesterday we managed to get the Kiwi's at Julusdalen on air again. Today it has gotten off again. Sorry for that. The failure has to do with

electrical issues after a storm in late December. We hope to fix it soon.

Julussdalen Kiwi SDR's

At Julussdalen just about 17 km from Elverum Norway, a place with little human-made noise, we have placed two Kiwisdr's. Both are connected via an antenna splitter from Mini-Circuits to a Wellbrook ALA 1530 LNP. Internet is provided from a 4G network. The whole system is powered by a linear power supply from Bel Power Solutions. Earlier we had the QTH even deeper into the forest. Then also with two more antennas, a beverage on ground and a dipole for 41 meters connected to an antenna switch. There is a possibility that we will have a beverage antenna again later this year (after European summer).
